The Crime Scene
In December of 2003, Russell Douglas was found shot to death in his car. The car was located in a “secluded driveway” and the body appeared to have been there for at least 24 hours.
Breanna Douglas. The wife of Russell Douglas. Possible motives were Russell’s infidelity and insurance policies that totaled over half million dollars. Breanna was initially the only suspect, police could not find any evidence against her, but also had no other leads.
The Story Unfolds
The case breaks in July of 2004, when police receive an anonymous call from the person we now know to be Bill Hill, Jim Huden’s friend and former band mate.
This case involves a lot of individuals. Jim Huden is married to Jean Huden, but is having an affair with Peggy Thomas. Peggy Thomas is the landlord and friend of Breanna Douglas, the victim’s wife.

My Analysis and Opinion
It seems clear to me that Brenna Douglas was involved in the murder of her husband. There were too many accounts given by Russell’s family members about the nonchalant attitude she displayed throughout the process of the investigation. I understand that everyone grieves differently, but watching her on the stand during Jim’s trial she appeared nervous and guilty.
I believe that the Prosecutor made a huge mistake in not wanting to allow Jean Huden to testify. Despite her history, no jury could deny the facts of the story she gave. She had too many details, and all of the information she had gotten from her husband and Peggy was enough to put all three of the culprits behind bars. Her story was also corroborated by the story of Bill Hill.
Peggy Thomas is yet another case of a “manipulative beauty”. A woman who, in my opinion, uses her looks to use and take advantage of others.
Then there is Breanna Douglas, the woman who has gotten away with having her husband killed. What type of mother can she possibly be to her children if she was willing to stoop so low to get rid of their father?
Also, did you hear the defense that Jim’s lawyer came up with. Jim should have just testified against Peggy and Breanna to get a lessor sentence ( maybe 30 years). Clearly he was going to Prison, the evidence against him was overwhelming.
I hope that one day the Prosecutors will bring charges against Breanna Douglas…she definitely belongs in Jail.
